I have practical experience in misdemeanor and felony cases in both federal and state courts. Before entering private practice, I was a staff attorney for the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center. As the staff attorney, I investigated claims of wrongful convictions based on actual innocence. In one case, I successfully petitioned for the release of a man wrongfully convicted of a crime who had been imprisoned for more than 19 years. I also serve on the Criminal Justice Act Panel in federal court.
